In the Community (Local Missions)

The church is given the mandate to proclaim and demonstrate God's love to nonbelievers - those who have not received Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. The Oaks is highly committed to reaching out to nonbelievers, and we do so in a variety of ways. If you are interested in getting involved in the ministry of evangelism and outreach, below are some ways to serve the community:

Volunteer to serve with one of our local ministry partners.

Ark Aid Mission - reaching out to inner city poor and homeless by serving a meal to them on the second Monday of every month.
International Student Ministries of Canada - reaching out to foreign students attending either Western University or Fanshawe College.
New Life Prison Ministry - There are various ways to get involved with ministry to inmates.

Join our evangelism team

Join the team or participate with them on occasion when they go out to share the love of God and the good
news of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Special events

From time to time, we host events for people in our neighbourhood and also participate in events organized by the South London Community Centre.
