Below are a couple of simple and useful ways to lead a non-believer to faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. The important thing is to help them understand that salvation (eternal life) only comes through faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of sin, and repentance from sin. Faith in Jesus is the only way to be reconciled back to God.

The ABCs of becoming a Christian

Admit - to God that you're a sinner. Repent (turn away) from sin.

(Romans 3:23; 6:23; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

Believe - that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that he came to earth born as a man; that he lived a sinless life; that he died on a cross for sinners; that he rose from the grave; and that he offers forgiveness for sin to everyone who asks.

(John 1:11-13; 3:16; 14:6; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Confess - your need for Jesus Christ to be your Saviour and Lord. Give your life to him.

(Romans 10:9-10, 13)

The Bridge to Life

The Bridge to Life can help you give a simple explanation of the Gospel message to anyone. This short booklet explains humanity's separation from God and how Jesus became our way back to Him.
