Nursery Programs at CITO – Little Acorns and Toddler Village
At Church in the Oaks our call is to love children into a life of trust: A trust in God, in their own intuitiveness and in the designs of God for their lives. We believe strongly in the concept of parents as educators and nurturers. Our committed group of children's ministry workers seek to assist parents in the raising of children of God. For it is our belief that parents are not the 'owners' of their children but rather stewards of God's "miracles in process".
With this in mind we have developed two programs in this ministry area that covers children ages birth to 4 years to meet the needs of our children at CITO.

Both programs are available for the Sunday morning service 10:30 am to 12:15.

** Please note:  Parents/caregivers are required to sign their child(ren) in and out of these programs.  This is in accordance with our “Plan to Protect” policy which is a requirement for our insurance policy.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these programs, please contact the church office at 519-649-1662.

Little Acorns - Birth to 24 months
Nursery care provided for babies and small children in a safe and loving environment with age appropriate play and learning opportunities. The Little Acorns Room is located beside the kitchen. Our Goal in this ministry is to provide the best care possible for these little ones as we share God’s love with them. It is a time for play and interaction with other children their own age including a time for music and singing, snack time and colouring. A snack will be provided for the children as appropriate, with the parents’ permission.

Toddler Village - Ages 2 to 4 years
Providing age appropriate play and learning for the developing pre-school aged children.  Teaching them the truths of God’s word and sharing God’s love with them. The Toddler Village Room is located between the men’s and ladies’ washrooms. Children will graduate into this program when they are 2 years of age as of September 1st in the fall, January 1st in the winter or May 1st in the spring.  Children will then stay in this program until they enter Junior Kindergarten. At that time they will enter Kids on the Rock (our sunday school program). Our Goal in this ministry is to provide a safe and fun learning environment for these children to interact with each other and learn about God’s love for them. Learning will take place through play, bible stories, crafts, activities, games and memory verses.  A snack will be provided for the children as appropriate, with the parents’ permission.
